I provide expert advice, analysis and design on fire safety engineering for the built environment; I specialise in the development and delivery of industrially focused research and innovation to enable the fire safety development of new technologies working with both Arup and external research partners. I am a Chartered Engineer with over 10 years consulting experience in a wide range of sectors from design through to construction and fire safety management and risk assessment. I have extensive experience in providing expert witness services; applying my fire safety engineering expertise to help clients resolve complex construction issues and more recently leading expert witness investigations for the Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry. In 2018 I received the Karen Burt Memorial Award for best newly chartered female engineer from the Women's Engineering Society. I hold a Doctorate Degree (PhD) focused on analysing structural performance under realistic fire conditions from the University of Edinburgh.
