Dr. Hopkin is a Director at OFR Consultants. Danny studied structural engineering before completing a doctorate on the fire performance of engineered timber. Danny applies his expertise to both consultancy and research, delivering the fire strategies for large projects, such as the Google HQ and assisting the HSE on the research required to support the technical review of ADB. He is a Visiting Professor at the University of Sheffield and the editor of the SFPE International Handbook on Structural Fire Engineering. Over the last ca. 5 years, Danny has completed in excess of 20 large-scale fire experiments on mass timber structures.
